Chimp Haven will expand its behind-the-scenes education program starting in 2013. The sanctuary will begin a new program called Chimp Chat & Chew - The Morning Edition." The program will offer breakfast, a tour of the facility and a visit with the chimps. The event will be offered four times in 2013; January 3, March 28, May 30 and November 26.
“This new education program responds to the demand from the public for additional personalized programs for families to have fun and learn about the chimpanzees,” said Angela McCleaf, Education Specialist. “Chimp Chat & Chew – The Morning Edition" is helping to bring additional educational opportunities to our community and will offer participants the chance to witness the chimpanzees’ daily morning activities. The program will present attendees young and old, a real treat.”
The first Chimp Chat & Chew – The Morning Edition will take place Jan. 3, 2013, 8:30-10:30 a.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to take photographs of the chimpanzees and may catch a glimpse of the infants born at the sanctuary earlier this year.
Fees are $40 for adults; $20 for children (12 years of age and younger). Reservations are required for this event as we have limited space available. For more information or to register please call 318.925.9575. For information about Chimp Haven visit chimphaven.org.
