Boat launches at north, south end of Toledo Bend closed

The Louisiana Office of State Parks has closed the boat launches at North Toledo Bend State Park, near Zwolle, and South Toledo Bend State Park, near Anacoco, to boat traffic. The water levels at the boat ramps at both parks are 12-14 inches deep, making it unsafe to launch boats.

Two oil rig workers hurt in DeSoto Parish

DESOTO PARISH, LA (KSLA) – Two men were injured in a drilling rig accident Tuesday morning in DeSoto Parish.

The sheriff's office says the accident happened at a rig on Janeau Circle, just off of Highway 175 North, about 9:45 a.m. One worker was airlifted to LSU Hospital while the other was taken to DeSoto Regional Medical Center in Mansfield.
