The Webster Parish Police Jury will hold a meeting regarding the use of the Bayou Dorcheat Watershed at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13 in the City of Minden Council Chamber Room, located at 520 Broadway Street.

Toledo Bend State Park near Zwolle has reopened their boat launch into Toledo Bend. Back in July, boat launches at the north and sound ends of the reservoir were closed because of extremely low water levels.

The South Toledo Bend State Park boat launch will remain closed until the boat lanes can be dredged by the Sabine River Authority.

In recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the U.S. Forest Service will waive all fees at recreational sites in Kisatchie National Forest with the exception of camping on Caney Lakes and camping on the Calcasieu Ranger District beginning Saturday, January 14th through Monday, January 16th.

All other recreational activities requiring a fee will be waived.
