The Cane River Waterway Commission says it has reopened part of Cane River Lake to boaters.
Motorized watercraft may use the Cane River Lake from Pratt's Bridge to the South Dam. The commissions does warn anyone navigating the lake to be very careful of underwater debris that could damage boat hulls or injure water skiers.
From Pratt's Bridge to the North Dam, the lake remains closed to unpowered boats and boats with electric trolling motors. Other motors must be taken off the craft before it's put in the water.
